Navigating the Intellectual Flotsam Of The Left

by: Dr. Jeffrey "Jake" Baker, Saturday, October 30, 2010

I am breaking my own rules and responding to this Neanderthal by "arguing with idiots," if you will. This is the typical leftist rant, class warfare, hillbilly tea partiers, etc. Politicus USA, in a post on October 20, 2010 by Sarah Jones, in an article titled, "Tea Party Oligarchy: Trust Fund Babies Are Good For Workers":

“Oh, didn’t they tell you? When they said 'grass roots movement' of the people, by the people…yada yada, they meant elitist oligarchs should be in power, either through ignorant puppets who don’t know better like Christine O’Donnell or the real live bona fide Oligarch types like we have here in John Raese of West Virginia (R-WV), cuz nothing says populism like inheriting somewhere around 79 million dollars….
“And liberty. Oh, sweet liberty of being born to the right parents like the founders intended. A nation built upon a system of oligarchs, don’t you dare tread on my trust fund you dirty ape and just in case, we have Sarah Palin the rude ingrate populist puppet to sell it all to you. Oligarchy first! Oh, land that I love….
“The Tea Party is running candidates who aren’t vetted and don’t know what they’re talking about when they puppet big corporate daddy lines or they’re just cuttin’ the puppets out and running the owners of said corporations. All of these things are being sold to you as populism. If you buy that, I’ve got some lovely land in Florida….Gold? A super hot book I wrote myself about myself?”
I'm trying to decide if you people are ill informed, naive, weak minded, or if you actually believe the drivel you write. When speaking of Republican money, you may not know that two-thirds of Wall Street CEOs are democrats. Let me quote the New York Times' article, Democrats Retain Edge in Campaign Spending," by Michael Luo and Griff Palmer, Published: October 26, 2010:"

“Lost in all of the attention paid to the heavy spending by Republican-oriented independent groups in this year’s midterm elections is that Democratic candidates have generally wielded a significant head-to-head financial advantage over their Republican opponents in individual competitive races.”
The fact is, the party of elitists is the Democratic party, whose leaders consist of the some of the richest politicians in the country, like the late Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry, Jane Harman, Jay Rockefeller, Mark Warner, Jared Polis, Frank Lautenberg, Dianne Feinstein, and Harry Teague. These Dems comprise 8 of the 10 richest senators and congressmen in D.C. Their combined wealth is approaching a billion dollars. Further, the Dems are funded by the largest unions in America. During this campaign cycle, the unions have contributed hundreds of millions of dollars. This, despite the fact the polls released this week, shows that union members preferred not to have their money spent this way.
I love the condescending attitude you leftists display mocking anyone who is not you. In your whitless diatribe you mock Christine O'Donnell and infer that she may not be a rocket scientist. I would much rather have her supposed naiveté, which in my estimation is honest patriotism, rather than the feigned intellectualism in D.C., than the scheming backroom, deal-cutting racketeers, which the dems proved themselves to be in the duplicitous handling of the health care package, which the public didn't want, doctors by better than a 2 to 1 margin decry, and economists say will cost trillions of dollars.
Perhaps some of you in the leftist brain trust can figure out how to pay for this latest round of Marxist palaver. Don't bother to come back with the “tax the rich” scheme. If you took every asset of all of the top 3% of the richest Americans, most of whom are democrats, you would affect the national debt by less than 1%. And taxing small business owners who declare more than $250K annual income will break the back of an Obama weakened economy and drive the nation to ruin quicker.
But, when you think about it, perhaps that's the real goal of leftists like you any. If you can collapse the economy and drive the system into the ground, you and your progressive ilk can step right in and lead us to a bright and shining new world order.
Personally, I've seen enough of New World Orders in my time. I have seen the result of Mr. Hitler's New World Order … seventy million dead and an entire race targeted for genocide; I’ve seen Mr. Stalin's New World Order … forty three million dead. And the communist revolution in China had its own special New World Order; which enlightened the world …in excess of one hundred million people murdered.
Then there was the progressive heroine, Margaret Sanger; a true bulwark and champion of American liberalism and founder of Planned Parenthood. Only problem is, she was a eugenicist, who believed that blacks should be eliminated because they were "breeding and swarming like rats in the streets." Today while blacks make up only 13% of the population, black children account for one-third of all abortions. While 40 million children have been killed in the womb, over 13 million of them have been black children. If any other nation on earth were to slaughter 13 million black children, we would be screaming genocide and sending in UN troops. Today, we give them government money to carry out this genocidal initiative championed by the left.

Then there is good liberal, Woodrow Wilson, another hero of you folks on the left. Only problem is, Wilson was open about his hatred for America. He too was a eugenicist, who thought blacks inferior. In fact, he re-segregated government workers, government offices, and the military.
Robert Byrd, the conscience of the Democratic Party and a former KKK leader, who on Fox News national broadcast, threw around the "N" word, like it was nothing. This, by the way, was not a baited interview. I saw the interview live and the tossing around of the "White N" and "Black N" phrases were in no way related to the conversation. The passages were a complete non-sequitur. What does that tell us about his hidden thoughts?

Might I suggest you, and the rest of the progressive lemmings, go meet some Tea Party folks before you stereotype them as “an assemblage of doltish hillbillies.” You will find that most are above average in intelligence, above average in education, and from all walks of life: independent business people, plumbers, physicists, educators, students, tradesmen, white collar workers, stay-at-home wives, career women, preachers and politicians. They are the face of America. They are not the bearded Marxists, so representative of you pseudo-intellectual elite, who are, in jolting candor, really the intellectually effete.
History has shown your ideology, while sounding high tone, is in fact tone deaf to life beyond the walls of the self-induced delusion of your bookish ivory towers, which are, in reality, an intellectual ghetto in which you subsist.

Socialism has never, and will never, worked. It is a moribund philosophy, with a built in death mechanism. Any political philosophy, which has as the basis of success taking by force, or force of law from one to reward the ineptitude or sloth of another, is doomed to fail. Driving the lazy, inept, or duplicitous to the trough, while telling them they deserve a place at that trough, is courting both moral and financial exhaustion. At some point there will be so many people at the trough that there is no one left to fill the trough. At some point you run out of other people's money. When the goal of socialism is finally achieved, and the stated goal of economic equality is achieved, history shows us that the equality created is intellectual, moral, and economic bankruptcy.
Please do us all a favor. Before you destroy our medical system, talk to the Brits, who are walking away from socialized medicine. They realize it is a complete failure. Study Romney care: it is bankrupting the state of Massachusetts. Before government decided to step in and treat us like we were helpless idiots, who couldn't survive without them, each of us, and all of us, took care of our own families, took care of our elderly, took care of the poor among us, and shunned the professional dead beats. Because we were personally involved, we knew that the neighbor down the road was a hard worker, who was just having a hard time, and we, as individuals, lent a helping hand.
Conversely, the guy living across the street, well, he was a drunk and lazy. He chose to pursue happiness in his way ... the bottle and sloth. He is free to pursue that happiness. And when he fails, and his relatives have to adopt his children, take care of his wife, and he is alone in his whiskey clouded world, he will have accomplished his pursuit. Perhaps then, and only then, can he make a choice to pursue happiness in another way.
In other words, those of us in the Tea Party are not a bunch of toothless, ignorant rubes, needing your beneficent guidance to make it through the day. We are not asking you to provide for us, think for us, help us, and certainly, don't try to control us, tax us, or attempt to live our lives for us. What we really need from all of you good, caring liberals on the left, is to be "left" alone.

But, because we understand that you are still concerned about the poor and the downtrodden, I have come up with what might be the perfect plan. About 15% of the population is living below the poverty line. By the way, this is the same number of poor we had at the start of the great society programs under Lyndon Johnson.

There are about 20% of Americans who admit to being liberals. For you guilt-ridden leftists, we need to create a special form, from the government, which will provide this service for all of you. On the form you will swear that you are a good liberal, concerned about the poor and downtrodden, and that you believe that these people should be taken care of by their fellow Americans. On the form you will have the opportunity to either have enough money taken from your paycheck every payday to support a poor person, or, if you prefer, government workers can actually deliver to your house a poor person. From that point on, you will be responsible for their care, feeding, hygiene, behavior, and outcome.

This takes all the cold bureaucratic treatment out of the equation and provides a one-on-one loving contact with your very own poor person, drunk, drug addict, or societal malcontent. It's akin to having a living Chia pet. Water them with your personal care, love, and concern, and watch them grow.

Similar programs could be conducted for illegal aliens. Just like the girl scouts, who ask, “How many boxes of cookies do you want this year?” the government can ask, “How many illegals will you take this year, Mr. Liberal? As you know, we now have 20 million of them, and only you can help us reach our goal of placing every one of them in their very own home!”

We can give this program high sounding name like, “The Human Chia-nome Project,” and each of you can save humanity … one person at a time.

Meanwhile, the rest of us, thanks to your personal involvement, can go to Washington D.C. and state capitals, and get rid of all of those failed social programs, dollar wasting boondoggles, and worthless, feel good government incursions, that are indebting our children to the third and fourth generations.

Isn't it amazing how much we can accomplish when we really sit down and communicate? Just look how angry my response to your intellectual flotsam was at the beginning of this response, and how conciliatory it is now. I really feel like we've connected on a spiritual level ... like we've brought light to your darkness.

I know I speak for all us when I say, “Thank you.”

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts that you are willing to put your empty-headed utopian dreams into practice. And just in case all of this doesn't go just exactly as planned, we'll just go ahead and build that wall down there on the border, make plans with Mexico to help their economy, so that they can support their own people, and tend to the unseating of the dogs inhabiting the seats of power in D.C., the governor's chairs in all of the states, and the leftist incompetents in counties and towns across America. Maybe we should do what we can to begin once again teaching our history, demanding constitutional government, working and contributing to campaigns that remove the corrupt and vulgar, thereby effectuating their replacement with the honorable and forthright.

When Global Warming Fails - Lizards Die ... End The Hate!

By:  Dr. Jeffrey "Jake" Baker

About a year ago there was a news story about how the iguanas were dropping out of the trees in Florida, and so Jake jotted out this quick, sick and twisted humor piece. Maybe you will still get a laugh out of it ... maybe NOT!
When Global Warming Fails - Lizards Die: Those on the left say they care … but do they really? Their efforts have paid off and now the earth is cooling. As the earth cools temperatures get too cool for the iguanas and they become paralyzed and fall. But who cares for the Iguanas? End the Hate!
Cruelly, without recourse or warning ,these peaceful iguanas get cold and are falling from trees, limbs, plants, sides of houses and everywhere imaginable because of evil Americans and their efforts to end global warming. These iguanas are not native to the U.S.

They are undocumented iguanas, which means, they know the bitter sting of leaving their homeland, often in the dead of night, with nothing more than the scales on their back. And for what? So tourists will have a pet to show off at home?

But when they become too big or start doing iguana stuff ... all they hear is the cruel rushing of water as they are flushed down the toilet, or the rushing of air as they are chucked over the back fence.

It's time to stop the madness! As a nation we can do better ... we must do better. We must end the horror of these poor, forgotten and falling iguanas. It is time to ...

 End the Hate!

All creatures deserve the right of decent medical care. So it's time. Today I am asking congress to provide $800 million dollars to save the iguana and increase global warming so that these poor iguanas may live.

Using undocumented workers in the south Florida area and local volunteers, I believe we can build nets to break the fall of these kidnapped and abused creatures.

Further, by utilizing thousands of local agencies, volunteers, and more undocumented workers, along with unemployed hookers (who can't find johns because of the cold), we can build thousands of little hammocks for the iguanas so when they awaken, they will know the comfort that our medical system should provide for all Americans ... even undocumented iguanas.

Don't be a hater - help us end the madness of falling iguanas - and - if you see someone actually tipping an iguana off his perch, please report that person to the nearest ASPCA office.

Iguana terror can be stopped ... but only if we end the hate.

CALL: 1 (800) UGLY LIZARD

This message is brought to you by the ATSIB - Americans to Stop Iguana Abuse.

P.S. - This is NOT meant to be taken seriously, we checked 800-ugly-lizard and the number is a working number. Please do not call this number. These poor folks actually got calls the last time we sent out this nonsense.

The Ant & The Contact Lens - A True Story

Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens. 'Great', she thought. 'Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry.'

She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there.

She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse 'The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth.'

She thought, 'Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.'

Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, 'Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?'

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!

The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption, 'Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You.'

I think it would do all of us some good to say, 'God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will.'

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day
. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him... I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)

If you love GOD and all the marvelous things He has done for you, send this to as many people you know.

Tis the season to be hustled, falalalalalalalala ... or ... the Greatest Christmas Ever!

By: Dr. Jeffrey "Jake" Baker

Beckah was silent as they pulled away from the family's Christmas party. She had smiled and joked with family and friends, but her friend Linda, being the observant and wise sage she was, called Beckah aside and asked her why she wasn't eating. Beckah, responding like a brave soldier, said she was just a little under the weather. She knew that if she said anything that all, the frustration, fear, anger, and panic might came rolling out in one great weeping gush of tears, rage, sobbing, and convulsing panic.

She and her husband Jack had both been out of work for four months. The money was gone, the electric bill due, and the car payment was behind. They had sold everything they could, hocked jewelry, and dropped every unnecessary services they could. Jack had worked every odd job he can find, but it wasn't enough. It barely kept food on the table. By this time next month, the house would be in foreclosure, and in three months they would be out on the street. They had no family to move in with, no prospects, no jobs on the horizon, and the economy was still looking very grim. Meanwhile, government was still spending on everything but the economy. It was hopeless absolutely hopeless.

Finally home, Beckah just wanted to collapse. She went to her room drew a warm bath, sunk down in the tub, and cried. For the first time in years Beckah found herself praying ... really praying; the kind of praying she did when she first became a Christian. And while no jobs magically appeared on the horizon, after a good cry and a lot of prayer, there was a tiny speck of peace just knowing that she could still talk to God.

Ho, Ho, Ho! Tis the season to be hustled falalalalalalalala. Normally, this is the time of the year when everybody is standing around with their hands outstretched, from the department stores to the charities. Everybody is reminding you of all you deserve, all you should be thankful for, and "give."

Well, they are half right, that is, if your electricity isn't in danger of being turned off, your house payment has been made, and you have a job to go to every morning. If this is the current situation in which you find yourself, then you are indeed blessed because presently there are about 30 million of our fellow Americans who don't have anywhere to go when they wake up in the morning.

No! I am not going to hustle you for even one dime. I am not going to tell you to give to me, or this worthy charity, or that worthy charity. There are some great charities out there, but you should decide where your money goes. As for me ... I'm going to do something different this year. I'm going directly to the source of the need and cutting out the middle man.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to give to the Salvation Army and Wounded Warriors, but this year I am going to do something different. According to the National Retail Federation Americans spent $504 billion in 2009 during the Christmas holidays. Chances are that number will be about the same this year.

So this year I'm not going to go to Macy's, or Dillard's, or Radio Shack, or Penny's, or Sears, or any of the other stores for my Christmas shopping. This year I am going to wrap presents and give them to my family and friends. And inside those presents will be the story of a family that we helped in their name. The present might read like this:

Bob and Cathy, instead of a bottle of wine this year, please accept our gift of a Christmas meal for a mom and her three kids whose husband is serving in Afghanistan. She is "living" on about $18,000 per year. My gift to you is a gift to them. Knowing you as I do, I know you will be thrilled with this present.

To Family: As you open this present, I wanted you to know that Katie and I talked about it and decided this year that we were going to do things a little different. We knew some friends that were unemployed. They had no money, no hope, and nowhere to turn.

Because of their dire circumstances, this year we've decided to spend our entire Christmas budget on two families. So, let me tell you what our family got you for Christmas. We got you payments for family one. There was a shiny new house payment for Jack. And for Beckah, we lavished her with two car payments, and for the kids we got the very latest in utility payments so they could watch their television, and a full blown Christmas dinner. And here's the best part ... no assembly required.

And for our kids, we got Don and Cindy caught up on their house payment, paid the cell phone bill, in case an employer called someone could answer, and as a stocking stuffer we made them a wonderful Christmas dinner. Hope that all of this fits under the tree. I'll tell you, Katie and I have gotten pretty good at shopping because every one of these presents fits perfectly. There was not one exchange of any gift we got this year. They were all just the right size.

Now that's Christmas. Can you imagine if everyone, all three hundred plus million of us, would just take 25% of our Christmas spending and help an unemployed family what that would mean to them and to the economy? It would mean a $125 billion stimulus to the economy without spending one cent of tax money.

And churches, you can help too. With all the special offerings taken this time of year, and all the extra money you bring in, why not adopt a few families this year? You can't help everybody, so why not really help a few. But be careful, pick out only families that are worthy of such a blessing. Make sure the parents are good role models for their kids, that they are just down with the economy, and not "professionally" unemployed.

Come on businesses ... you can help. How about you tradesmen? This Christmas why not give the gift of a patched roof, or fixed plumbing, or a replaced window for a worthy family in your area?

And you department stores ... how about a free appliance for a needy family? And car dealers ... we haven't forgotten about you! Do you know what the gift of a good running car would mean for a young family struggling to get to the new job they finally found after 18-24 months of endless job interviews? It would mean the world to them.
Listen, you don't have to do the job alone. There are 340 million of us out here. This won't solve all of our problems. Long term we need to fix the economy with a constitutional budget, free enterprise, and honest dollars, but in the meanwhile, this will help.
It will help the people you share with; it will help the economy; it will help ease the family's burden; and, more than anything, it will help you. Those of us who still have somewhere to go when we wake up in the morning, it will help us remember how blessed we really are. It will help us remember who we are as a people. It will help us remember what America and Americans are really all about.

My countrymen, my friends, my fellow patriots, you are needed now more than ever to help us pull this country together. I know it is Christmas and nobody wants Mr. Scrooge lurking about casting humbug over their holiday cheer. However, I believe that we are under attack in so many ways that there is little hope of coming through this situation whole.

George Soros and his fellow traitors, both in and out of government, are attacking our monetary system and have involved the Chinese in their seditious plot. The dollar collapse may be inescapable. The dark heart of militant Islam has set its sights on America. The world is spinning madly out of control and there is little we can do about it. The system is about to reset. When it does, one of two systems will arise from the ashes of that ruin. It will either be the cold, hard, New World Order of an international oligarchy of thugs and tyrants, or ...

You and I will have laid the ground for rebuilding the American community again on those first principles, which include all of us caring and sharing with the rest of our family, friends and neighbors; not as a commune, but as individuals who care about each other and giving others a helping hand. This is not about government programs, this is about human kindness.

This year I hope you will consider the gift of Americans helping Americans. Nobody needs to know the family's name you help. For that matter, nobody even needs to know what you did unless you want to tell them. But by your kindness you may be the only lifeline to the desperate household of a neighbor or family member in our scared nation, and the only lifeline back to the America we once knew. We don't need government to take care of us. All we need is We ... us to take care of the U.S.
Remember ... there was no welfare office when Mary and Joseph showed up in Bethlehem. She did not seek free medical care from the government. Nor did she kill her baby because it was inconvenient. She brought into a world, darkened with sin and sadness, the light of all mankind.

This was prophesied 700 years before the birth of the Messiah back in the book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7: Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
And Luke says in his classic Christmas description in Luke 2:

1.
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3. And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5. To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were
accomplished that she should be delivered.
7. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
17. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
20And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

This may not be, and, in fact, probably is not, the time of the real birth of the Savior, but this is when we celebrate His birth as a nation, so let's make the best of it. Let us truly celebrate Christmas with those around us this year with the gift of blessing others at Christmas. Really, how much stuff do you need? It's just stuff. Will it be remembered in July? Probably not. But if you make a car payment, or pay a utility bill for a struggling family, do you think that will be remembered in July? I would venture to say, that gift will be remembered twenty years from now and will be listed forever in eternity.

Let this be the year when we all say, "Bah humbug!" to advertisers, bankers, and the typical Christmas hustlers and give the gift that will be remembered in eternity, the gift of kindness ... perhaps the gift of economic survival for a military family, unemployed family, relative or friend in your life.

And while you're out running around and you stop to grab a bite to eat, look around for one of our brothers or sisters in arms, and quietly buy their meal. You don't have to tell them or say a word, just pay quietly and I guarantee you will feel more Christmas in that moment than in ten hours of shopping.

Finally, this year give yourself the greatest gift of all. Gather your family together round a crackling fire, bring out the hot chocolate sing a few Christmas songs, and as a family on your knees thank God that you are together, safe, warm, blessed beyond anything most of the world could ever comprehend. Build memories, faith and love amongst yourselves. None of us knows how many more of these Christmas' we will have.

So ... what will it be this year ... the usual Christmas Hustle or ...
The Greatest Christmas Ever?

We Just Don't Need All That "Damned" Cussing

By Dr. Jeffrey "Jake" Baker
December 17, 2010
I have to tell you, I love Glenn Beck.  His creative energy is undoubtedly the envy of "talkers" everywhere.  He is a machine - he just never quits.
So, it was with great anticipation that I tuned in to watch his show on the 15th of December to hear him live from Wilmington, Ohio.  The first show was really good.  It was touching to see him offer the gift of hearing to that little boy.  Wow, what a moment. To say I was moved would be an understatement.
Unfortunately, he was unable to broadcast the second show. Apparently, there were technical problems that killed the live stream to Insider Extreme members.  No problem.  I'll look at it on demand tomorrow, which is what their posting said would happen.  However, the technical Grench stole that as well and the stream was delayed again.  But then we heard the news from the Judge who was guest hosting for Glenn that the show would be aired Friday night.  Great, I'll catch it then.
As Friday night rolled around we gathered around the TV to watch Glenn.  The program was ok.  It was not the "home run" the first live hour had been, but that is not the purpose of this opine.  I am writing because I was disappointed with Glenn's language.  I had to wonder where all that cussing came from.
After all, when something is billed as a Christmas show, one has a responsibility to make sure that the program and its language is appropriate for all ages.  I know Glenn tries really hard to both share information and entertain the crowd.  But to his credit, Glenn had already done his radio program, signed books, greeted people for hours, prepped his staff, done the first hour live, and then came out to a hot theater in a heavy Santa suit.  He was probably exhausted, the rhythm just wasn't there, and old habits just appeared.  That being said, I still believe that "cussin up a bluestreak" isn't the appropriate.
But again, to put this in perspective, Glenn Beck is probably the hardest working, most creative person in media. I enjoy Glenn Beck and will continue to enjoy his programs as much as ever.
And perhaps this is a good reminder to all of us that none of us is perfect save One.  And maybe this is the perfect time of year to remember that.  Maybe this is also the perfect time to remember that while Glenn is pretty good at telling us what is about to happen next, I know of another source that is even better than Glenn ... the Bible.  Want to know just how good it is?  Go to Isaiah, Chapter nine, beginning at verse six and continue through verse seven:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Seven hundred years before the birth of the Messiah, the prophet Isaiah said that blessed event would come to pass.  He prophesied that this Messiah would be from the house and lineage of David and that he would establish His justice forever.  Isaiah said that the “zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
So while we enjoy and are informed and animated by Glenn's passion for the truth, we need to remember who we are, and whose we are; and that when it is all said and done, there is only one Truth.  May the zeal of the LORD bring to pass in you not just the knowledge of the Savior's birth, but even in these difficult and turbulent times, the peace that comes with the understanding that soon righteous government will return to this earth.
It is indeed overwhelming to think that Yeshua, the Creator of all things would humble Himself to the birth of a peasant, that we might be kings and priests forever with Him;  and that from that rude, cold, and dark manger the world would find life, light and finally peace that passes all understanding that brings joyous hope to an otherwise sad and broken humanity.
How great is our salvation … How great is our God … How sure is the hope of those whose God is the Lord!
